Description / Trivia Edit

The Santa Barbara County Bowl was built in 1936 with federal funding from the WPA. The original construction consisted of a wooden revolving stage that was destroyed by a flood during 1939. The concrete replacement stage stood for over sixty years before it was replaced in 2001.

The Santa Barbara County Bowl remains the largest outdoor Amphitheatre in Santa Barbara County. The outdoor setting makes for a wonderfully scenic and intimate experience. The Santa Barbara community is working hard to keep the amphitheatre up and running as the county's most state-of-the-art outdoor venue.
